This Mount Claremont home had a courtyard and side paths that needed to work harder. We paved the covered courtyard in light pavers that bounce light around under the roof, and carried the same paving down the side paths so the whole outdoor space feels connected.
Limestone block planter boxes sit against the existing limestone walls, planted with palms and tropical foliage for a lush, low fuss look. A limestone planter under the front window adds the same finish at the entry.
Along the side paths we left a strip of white gravel between the paving and the walls. It helps with drainage, keeps the pavers clear of the walls and gives the narrow paths a neat, finished edge.
