    Paving Across the Mandurah Region

    Built Around the Water

Mandurah’s whole lifestyle is built around water. Between the Peel-Harvey Estuary, the Mandurah Ocean Marina and the canal network cut through Halls Head, Wannanup and Dawesville, a huge share of the paving work we do here is pool surrounds, alfresco areas and paths that need to cope with sand, salt spray and constant bare feet without losing their grip or their colour.

Paving jobs around Mandurah tend to fall into two camps, and it pays to know which one you’re in. In older pockets like Halls Head, where the canal estates were first developed back in the 1980s, we’re usually replacing paving that has cracked, sunk or faded after years of coastal weather.

    Replacements and First-Time Paving

In growth suburbs such as Meadow Springs, Lakelands and Erskine, we’re more often laying paving for the first time as part of a new alfresco, driveway or pool build on a bare block, where site prep and levelling matter more than matching an existing style.

We regularly carry out paving work across:

    • Halls Head
    • Falcon
    • Wannanup
    • Dawesville
    • Meadow Springs
    • Lakelands
    • Erskine
    • Coodanup

If your street isn’t on that list, just ask. We service the wider Mandurah area and are always happy to confirm availability.

    Paving Services Available in Mandurah

    Pool and Alfresco Paving

Given how many Mandurah homes are built around a pool or a canal facing alfresco, this is where most of our work here starts. We install pool paving that stays cool underfoot through summer and grips well when wet, along with travertine pavers for owners who want a softer, more natural finish around the water’s edge.

    Driveway Paving for New Estates

With so much new development happening around Lakelands, Meadow Springs and Golden Bay, a large part of our Mandurah workload is driveway paving for freshly built homes. A well laid driveway is often the single biggest factor in how finished a new build looks from the street.

    Limestone Paving

Limestone remains the classic choice for this stretch of coast. It suits the relaxed, beachy character of suburbs like Falcon and Silver Sands, and it’s forgiving to work with around uneven, sandy blocks, which are common this close to the dunes. See our full range of limestone paving options.

    Porcelain Paving

For newer homes and canal properties where low maintenance matters most, porcelain is becoming a popular option. It doesn’t fade in the sun, resists salt staining better than natural stone, and is simple to keep clean after a day on the water. Take a look at our porcelain paving range.

Paving for Mandurah’s Canal and Waterfront Homes

    Canal and Waterfront Paving

Halls Head, Wannanup and Dawesville all sit on the network of canals built off the Dawesville Channel, and paving on these properties comes with its own set of considerations.

The transition from jetty or pontoon to patio paving needs to be slip resistant even when wet, and because these blocks sit so close to the water table, drainage matters more here than almost anywhere else in Perth. On many canal properties we recommend permeable paving around the pool or alfresco so water drains away naturally rather than pooling against the house.

Pavers That Hold Up to Salt Spray

Salt spray is another factor we plan for. Some natural stone can pit or discolour faster this close to open water, so we’ll talk you through which paver will genuinely hold up on your specific block rather than just recommending whatever looks best in a showroom.

    Bare Blocks, First Impressions

Suburbs like Meadow Springs, Lakelands and Erskine are still filling out, and a lot of our clients here are landscaping a bare block for the first time.

Paving is usually one of the first jobs tackled after the build, since it defines the driveway, entry path and alfresco before anything else goes in.

We often pair this with artificial grass installation for new estate blocks where owners want a low maintenance lawn from day one.

    What Affects Your Paving Price

Paving prices in Mandurah depend on a few things:

    • The type of paver chosen, whether that’s limestone, travertine, brick or porcelain
    • The size of the area being paved
    • Site preparation, including sand levelling, drainage work or removal of old paving
    • Access to the site, which can be a factor on tighter canal blocks

Frequently Asked Questions About Paving in Mandurah

We regularly work across Halls Head, Falcon, Wannanup, Dawesville, Meadow Springs, Lakelands, Erskine and Coodanup, along with Mandurah itself. If you’re further out towards Furnissdale or North Yunderup, get in touch and we’ll confirm availability.

Yes. Canal and waterfront paving is one of the more specialised parts of our Mandurah work, and we take drainage, slip resistance near jetties and salt exposure into account when recommending a paver for these blocks.

No. Our Mandurah pricing is the same as our Perth metro pricing, and there’s no separate call out fee for travel to the Mandurah region.

For most standard residential paving, such as alfresco areas, driveways and pool surrounds, planning approval isn’t required. Canal front properties can occasionally have additional requirements around drainage or foreshore setbacks, and we can guide you through this as part of your free quote.

Both perform well, though for canal and beachfront properties we often lean towards porcelain, since it’s less prone to salt staining and needs very little upkeep. Travertine still works beautifully further back from the water, and it’s a favourite for alfresco areas across Halls Head and Falcon.
